Pedalada B-KO: De Marielyst a Güstrow

kb_de14_04606 Trajeto do dia 4: Marielyst – Marrebaek – Skelby – Gedser – Rostock – Groß Stove – Schwaan – Rukieten – Mistorf – Goldewin – Lüssow – Güstrow

Sai cedo de Marielyst pois com o vento contra não tinha certeza quanto tempo levaria para chegar em Gedser pra pegar o ferry. Pedalei muito rápido e acabei chegando muito cedo para pegar o ferry das 11h.
O ferry leva aproximadamente 2 horas para fazer o percurso de 50km de Gedser a Rostock. Não tinham muitos ciclistas pois a grande maioria faz o caminho contrário (de Berlim a Copenhague). Encontrei somente uma família de franceses, um casal e dois filhos, que pedalavam a caminho das praias de Rostock.
A saída do ferry foi um pouco complicada para achar a ciclovia para a cidade. Eram tantos caminhões e motocicletas saindo que acabei me perdendo um pouco no meio deles.
O encontro com a Katharina perto da estação de trem de Rostock foi fácil. E o melhor do trajeto a partir dali era que o vento tinha diminuído, já não tinha um vento contra forte mais.

After we met at 2.41 at Rostock Mainstation leaving the city was a bit tricky due to misleading signs but Karla is a very good navigator and we were on our way through nice landscapes with harvested fields, old trees, and only a few cars. The sky was cloudy from time to time but we were lucky to not encounter any rain or wind and while the sun was shining I even got a little sunburn in my face, so I already looked like being on holiday at the end of the first day.

After three hours and twenty minutes and 42 km for me (there are people in the world who run this distance in half the time ;-)) we arrived in the old town of Güstrow with its wonderful castle and main square. We treated ourselves to a nice dinner with red wine and some chocolate – my body is sore, but life is good ;-).
